Qualifications : Our projects Our research would address the following questions in order to deliver insightful business intelligence to clients: - How much fruit juice was consumed in Cameroon in 2008? How does this compare to the previous year? - Who are the leading companies in shampoo? What % share is held by the leading brands? - Is there a market for my product? What channels should we sell through? Who are our competitors and how should we position our offering to best effect? - Why are our competitors doing better than us? What is their success strategy and how is this supported operationally? What can we do differently to improve our performance and remain at the top? Skills - Research experience with proven skills in desk research and trade interviewing - High level of numeracy - Familiarity with consumer goods markets (FMCG) - Excellent computer literacy - Must own a laptop - Excellent oral and written English and French - Good communication skills Profile The successful candidate will be located in Cameroon, be able to work from home, and have access to a PC (Windows) and the Internet. Time commitments vary according to projects however a minimum commitment of 35 hours a week would be necessary for most projects. Reporting to project managers in our London office, you would be involved in all aspects of the research process, from personal visits to stores, to secondary source information-gathering, trade surveys, report-writing and data analysis. A strong background in economics, marketing, and/or market research is desirable. The successful candidate will enjoy problem solving, demonstrate a can do attitude, be able to work independently and be tenacious in their pursuit of information.
