Description : Provides marine logistics support to PCC operations
Accountabilities
• Plan and execute effective and cost-efficient movement of a wide variety of offshore industry materials on dedicated offshore support vessels.
• Safely manage the transfer of large number of passengers to and from the Pecten Offshore Installations by High Speed Personnel Carriers
• Have a thorough understanding of marine logistics within the offshore oil and gas industry, including appropriate international and
national legislation and best industry practices.
• Be a self-motivated professional who can be trusted to deliver customer services to a consistently high standard.
• Manage marine vessel contracts and other service contracts in line with supply chain management strategies and contract
management guidelines to achieve safe on-time service delivery and value for money
• Take responsibility for the entire Health Safety and Environment (HSE) aspects of the offshore marine logistics operations, including lifting and hoisting.
• Provide input to the development of marine standards, procedures and process improvements
• Maintain accurate utilization data for all the offshore marine logistics equipment in operation
• Liaise with government agencies to ensure compliance with government regulations and the application of appropriate tariffs
Dimensions:
• Pecten has a total population of 117 national staff and 15 expatriate staff.
• Candidate will be part of the team responsible for the transport of up to six thousand metric tonnes of cargo offshore and up to five thousand personnel transfers by crew boat on an annual basis.
Key challenges
• Must be prepared to work flexible working hours including weekends as necessary on a shared rotation system
• Must be able to work in a demanding environment that emphasizes personal accountability
• Requires an ability to establish a positive and dynamic working relationship with both other Pecten staff and a wide range of contacts and stakeholders
Qualifications : • DUT/BTS/HND or equivalent in marine studies
• Minimum of 3 years experience
• Preferably
- Hold Senior Deck Officer marine certification
- Have offshore support vessel experience as Deck Officer with a reputable shipping company
- Have previous work experience within a port, offshore installation or marine logistics organization.
• A good understanding of safety and emergency response management is essential
• Conversant with Ms Office Tools, particularly Word and Excel
• Bilingual (Fluent in both oral and written English and French)
